WWIDgirl's Diary

2001-12-25 -- 11:39 p.m.

Christmas.

I had to go to church today at 11 with my family for xmas service. stupid stupid service. Almost fell asleep. It was in English and Korean so it was double my torture.

My mom played piano for the service as usual. She's not very good. She went to university for music but these days, she sucks. She adds notes and leaves notes out and makes up her own rhythm. She thinks she's pretty good. It's quite horrid actually.

I don't have the heart to tell her.

After that long long service, Yoona and I rented a movie from Rogers and got some chips from Petro (Gas station). Then we went home and my cousin Sandra and my aunt came over.

Sandra's alright but I always have this feeling like she's thinking bad things about me while putting on this facade of liking me. Her family won 4.4 million dollars about eight or ten years ago and then won another $50,000 or so a few years after but some how they don't have very much money now.

I do know that they gave a lot of money to my church which it used to build a whole new section to it. And they gave some to Sandra and Rachel's school. Oh yeah and they bought a huge million dollar house in TOronto. That house was amazing!

There was even a servant's quarters in the basement with bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom. And there was also a bar in the basement and the backyard was gigantic with a little ravine or something on the outline of their property border.

The kitchen was huge. We would walk in and there was an area with a table right by a large window outlooking the backyard.

The upstairs... Sandra had her own section of the house with her own bathroom. Rachel had her own section of her house with a bathroom connecting her room and her other room.

The master bedroom I don't remember much but I do remember that the jacuzzi in that bathroom was huge and the shower was it's own room and there was another section for a toilet and a john.

When they won the lottery they bought a korean supermarket which I was under the impression was doing well but some how they don't have very much money now. They live in an apartment I have never seen and they pay rent I think. They don't own it.

Rachel left home a few years ago to live with my Aunt in Chicago. There was some unpleasantness with her family which I will go into some other time.

My mom invited people over for dinner today. My sister and I went to Vic's for dinner.

Han, Liyi, Vic and I were the only one's there at first. Vic made us this wonderful dinner of pasta with tomato sauce and chicken marinated in roast tomatos. For dessert he made us cookies. I had no idea that he was such a good cook.

Craig just called. I'll finish this later.
